Hanna’s Senior Session!

Hanna and her mom came out for her senior session with us and had a blast. She brought some awesome outfits to work with and even though we had a bit of a windy session, we got some great images! Thank you both for bearing with us!

Can’t wait to show you and your mom the rest!

The Blue-Eyed Boy

This little guy has grown! It seems like yesterday he wasn’t even walking yet and now he’s curious as can be and exploring everything! We had this Radio-Flyer wagon stashed away in a box so I thought I’d put it together for Bay’s session. As you can tell, he greatly appreciated it!

He’s got the cutest smile and the deepest blue eyes! Watch out ladies!

He’s 17 months old now and was very amused with all the sights and sounds here in Old Town Warrenton. We had a great time and can’t wait to see him grow over the next few years!

The next Jennie Finch?

Brittany and her mother braved the cold weather during her session with us this week and it paid off! We were slightly concerned about the tank top/shorts combo but it didn’t even phase her as we strutted around Old Town!

A senior at Battlefield High, Brittany has proudly landed a spot playing college softball in Boston this Fall! We truly had a great time with you guys and can’t wait to show you the rest!

Here’s a link to a few shots of Jennie Finch during a U.S. Olympic softball game I took a few years back for those interested.

“He’s just a puppy…”

We love having the opportunity to photograph pets, and especially man’s best friend. We first met the aptly named “Magnus” at our Boo, who are you? event last Halloween. His owner, Mike, loves this dog and you can easily see the attachment between him and his 7 month old puppy. Not fully aware of his 130lb size yet, Magnus seemed to get enjoyment out of quickly running from one end of the studio to the other as stopping created a challenge and often lasted more than just a few seconds on our hard-wood floors.

He is fairly trained though, with cheerios, popcorn, and his friend the stuffed squirrel commanding the majority of his attention and energy. I really like this breed of dog and several scenes from the movie “Turner and Hooch” came to mind as we photographed him. We had a blast working with Mike and Magnus and can’t wait to photograph him once again after he puts on another 100 lbs!

A Simply Sweet Gift!

We received a very thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift from Jamie and Jessica over at Simply Chic Events and thought we would share!

The brownies are delicious–Amy & I tore into them but I have since been asked to keep them away from her! Thanks again!

Longview Gallery showcases new design concepts!

We had the opportunity to photograph some unique design concepts at the Longview Gallery in D.C. yesterday. It was a lot of fun! The concepts were meant to showcase design ideas for wedding, social, and corporate events. Designed to be more unique and out-of-the-norm than what you may expect to see at today’s events. It’s always a pleasure to work with Terri Eaves of Bash who put together the whole production and many thanks go out to her for allowing us to provide the imagery! A few shout outs to those who provided their services on the shoot:

Capital Décor and Events – décor and furniture
John Farr Lighting – lighting
Longview Gallery – Suzi Molak – venue
Party Rental – rentals
Philippa Tarrant Floral Design – flowers
Main Event Caterers – food & delicious desserts

Now it’s on to the images!

The first year is flying by!

I’m always amazed to see how fast kids grow–especially during their first year… but this kid has gotten so big! He has such a great smile and you can really see each of his parents in his expressions! Here’s to many more years of great smiles and great pictures!

Concrete Obsolete?

We had the opportunity last week to photograph the demo of a cutting-edge product used in construction. The Pro-Ring™* is made of a polypropylene composite material and designed as a grade adjustment ring (spacer) between a manhole cover and the cone section of a sewer system. Pretty interesting, right?? Marketed by Cretex, the Pro-Ring™ replaces the large concrete collars you may have seen loaded atop tractor-trailers while driving on the highway. The demonstration was meant to show not only the ultra-light weight of this material, but also the structural integrity as well. I was certainly impressed as the 45-ton excavator drove over and parked on top of the ring without even damaging it!

A special thanks goes out to Al Thompson & Bob Stockmaster for the opportunity to provide imagery for the marketing of their new product, and S.W. Rodgers Construction for providing the equipment used in the shoot!

*The Pro-Ring™ is a JSP International LLC Product. Pro-Ring™ is a registered trademark of JSP Licenses, Inc.
